Arts Week and Exhibition 2024
In July, we organised a very busy Arts Week, with children from both Tas Valley Federation schools involved in a wide range of activities:
- Poetry workshop with Lewis Buxton (all year groups);
- Textiles workshop with Claire Spender (Year 4);
- Painting workshop with Adelaide Leeder (Reception and Year 1);
- Lino Printing with Zoe Howard (Saxlingham);
- Minibeast artwork with Andy Jarrett (Year 2);
- Visits to the Sainsbury Centre for Visual Arts (Year 2 and Year 5);
- Arts activities at the church on the theme of ‘What We’ll Build’ by Oliver Jeffers (Preston) and ‘Angels’ (Saxlingham).
- National Youth Choir Workshop with Ben Vonberg-Clark.
We are also looking forward to welcoming the National Youth Choir to work with our children on Monday 15th July.
We were delighted to welcome so many parents/carers, family members and members of the local community to view our artwork at a special exhibition.

In March 2024, together with our friends from Saxlingham, our Year 5 and Year 6 children took part in a fantastic 3-day residential trip to Bawdsey Manor in Suffolk. Along with Mr Walker, Mrs Whitefoot, Miss Dignum, Mrs Winter and Mrs Newson, the children enjoyed some action-packed time away, challenging themselves to master new skills and conquer fears!
