Mental Health

In June, the NHS Mental Heath Support Team (MHST) who work with our school came in to give a talk to parents and carers about Supporting Children’s Anxiety.  They talked about children’s development, different worries that occur at different stages, and strategies for supporting children with any fears or anxiety.  Here is a copy of the presentation: Supporting Children’s Anxiety

Thank you to our MHST team for attending and for all the families who came to the talk and the Wellbeing Workshop afterwards. The workshop activities were all based on the NHS ‘5 Steps to Mental Wellbeing’, which are evidence-based steps that can improve mental health and wellbeing.:
1. Connect with other people
2. Be physically active
3. Learn new skills
4. Give to others
5. Pay attention to the present  (mindfulness)
If you have any questions or concerns about your own child’s mental wellbeing, please contact the school and we can ring or meet with you.
