Our Governing Board

The Governing Board has an essential role in ensuring that the schools meet their obligations to meet national standards by providing broad and balanced curricula to all pupils, as well as operating within the financial, legal and health and safety expectations of the Department of Education.

The Governing Board consists of a cross-section of representatives from the staff, parents, community and Local Authority.  As both schools within our Federation are Voluntary Controlled Church Schools, our Governing Board also has Foundation Governors.  All our Governors have an interest in the correct operation of the schools to ensure that all pupils reach their potential.

Welcome from our Chair of Governors

This is the membership of the Governing Board for the Tas Valley Church Schools Federation:

Using the Circle Model of Governance, our Governing Board meets nine times a year.  For the Academic Year 2023-24, we will continue to adopt a hybrid approach, combining virtual meetings with face-to-face ones.

Governors also act as a ‘critical friend’ of the school by offering advice and challenge to ensure the statutory functions of the school are met.

Our Chair of Governors, Diane Perry-Yates, can be contacted via the School Office.
